And here's how it's going to work.

I will try and keep the schedule current at least one rotation out, so each of you should e-mail your first artist choice and the five or fewer albums we need to listen to (album title and date) as soon as possible to laminette.griff@gmail.com. The updated schedule is available for viewing in the righthand sidebar of this blog.

Please choose your artist well in advance so the rest of us can get ahold of the necessary CDs. Use iMeem.com, download CDs, and check libraries for albums. If you still have trouble finding one, let us know so we can burn a CD and mail it your way if necessary.

New artists will begin each Saturday. If it's your week, you are responsible for the first post, in which you should tell us a little about the artist, why you chose that artist and one discussion topic we should be ready to discuss by the end of the week. Try to post a photo of the band/artist and a Wikipedia link (or other links) that tell us more about that artist. Put the week number and artist's name in the title and in the label area below the post box. (Watch how week one goes and model your posts after mine to keep consistent).

Discussions for a new artist will start on Saturdays when a new person's week begins, and run through the following weekend. Any member of this blog may make individual posts throughout the week (remember to label each post by artist in the label area) and should be encouraged to do so at least once per artist. Commenting on each others' posts is also highly encouraged.

The end of the week discussion should be held within one post. If it is your week, you should start the discussion and others should respond via comment. Everyone is expected to comment at least once each week on the end of the week post.

TIP: If you find yourself in a position where you can't log into Blogger to post, you can also post via e-mail. Once you sign into the blog as a contributor for the first time, you should be able to specify a posting e-mail address under "Settings" and "E-mail and mobile." Once you do that, just add the e-mail into your address book and post away. You will not be able to comment on other people's posts or see comments without logging into Blogger, however.

No genre and no artist is off limits, as long as they have put out at least two albums. You may choose between 2 and 5 albums from each of your artists. No Greatest Hits or live albums allowed, unless a majority of the members on this site (3) agree to allow it.

You MUST listen to every artist regardless of your opinion of that artist.

Rules will be posted in the righthand sidebar and are subject to change as we have not done this before and may have to make adjustments if something isn't working.
